Bill received his legal training and Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University in 1980. He has significant professional experience representing clients in matters including toxic torts, environmental, personal injury, property damage, business, construction, surety and public entity related issues. His practice is based in our Philadelphia office.
Bill has represented a consortium of insurance companies and manufacturers named as defendants in asbestos litigation in Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Along with his trial responsibilities, he has served on behalf of that consortium as liaison to the Courts in Philadelphia County and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. At the request of the consortium’s national committee, he was involved in defending in Philadelphia against the nationwide litigation instituted by members of the various labor unions in tire plants.
He has handled numerous automobile accident, slip and fall and property damage cases. General contractors, architects, engineers and/or property owners have been defended by him in cases involving personal injury and property damage. These cases concerned projects ranging from commercial casinos to single-family homes and involved HVAC systems, roofing concerns, water infiltration, exterior finishing systems and other claims. His experience in defending product liability cases includes among others, elevators, sports equipment, consumer goods/appliances and motor vehicles. Fire related cases which Bill has handled involve property loss, subrogation and fraud investigation.
A trained mediator, Bill is experienced in alternative dispute resolution methods to resolve complex cases. He has served on the arbitration panels for the Federal Court and for the Trial Courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as for the American Arbitration Association and the Board of Realtors.
