Peter joined PMT in 2014 and is the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations. In addition to these responsibilities, Peter is also the Chair of the Employment and Professional Liability Practice Groups as well as Chair of the Claims and Litigation Management Practice Group.

He began his legal career almost 20 years ago in New York while working at a boutique insurance defense law firm. It was during this time Peter gained invaluable experience learning how to be a litigator by handling cases from commencement to resolution as well as trying cases throughout the New York metro area.

Thereafter, Peter went on to practice professional liability at an international Am Law 200 law firm where he not only continued his career as a litigator, but also began counseling clients on legal and risk management issues.

In 2008, Peter transitioned from the practice of law to litigation management when he joined RMPG (now Sedgwick) as Managing Director of Operations. In this role, he was responsible for claims and litigation management. Thus, he worked closely with counsel in order to facilitate efficient, yet aggressive claims handling on behalf of RMPG’s clients. During this time, Peter witnessed first hand how the top law firms possessed traits of communication, responsibility and reliability. Upon witnessing and understanding the importance of how these traits are vital to the counsel and client relationship, Peter decided to practice law again at a national insurance defense firm, which is where he practiced law before jointing PMT.

The above experiences have been the bedrock upon which Peter has built his practice. While he has a diverse legal background that encompasses many areas of insurance, he primarily focuses on Construction, Professional and General Liability as well as counsels clients concerning their claims and litigation management on a national level. His clients include lawyers, real estate, design and insurance professionals as well as retail and construction companies.

Peter is a member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

He is also active with Crossroads Programs, which is a non-profit organization that helps homeless, abandoned, abused or at risk children. Peter is on the Board of Crossroads and also advises on their legal matters.
