Donna is experienced in all facets of general civil litigation in New York State Courts, including mediations, arbitrations, motion practice, and appellate work. Her practice focuses on the defense of personal injury liability cases, in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, general liability, Dram Shop litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. Prior to joining Pillinger MillerTarallo, Donna was afﬁliated with a ﬁrm in Westchester County practicing in the area of insurance defense.
Donna utilizes social networking investigation to obtain successful motion, settlement, and arbitration results based on her ﬁndings. She is also a Continuing Legal Education lecturer on the topic of social networking and HIPAA law in civil litigation. Donna has conducted seminars for claims representatives at insurance carrier clients regarding current legal issues in insurance defense, including the life of a civil lawsuit, social networking, and liens.
Donna appeared as a guest on the television program “Today’s Verdict,” speaking about HIPAA law. She has also been invited to speak as a guest lecturer at Cazenovia College, Pace University, Purchase College and Westchester County Community College.
Previous to law school, Donna worked as an investigative agent performing surveillance for Workers’ Compensation fraud. She was also previously a Court Officer(Certified Peace Ofﬁcer) in the Broome County Supreme Court.
