Job Summary

Westchester County based law firm with national practice seeks Human Resources Manager to support all 8 offices in this growing 180 employee firm. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Results-oriented Human Resources professional responsible for the overall HR function including but not limited to employee relations, payroll and benefits; onboarding and offboarding; orientation; hiring and recruiting; policy and procedure updates and compliance. Knowledge of Federal, NY state, NYC, Westchester, and Philadelphia laws required. Knowledge of FMLA, NYPFL, FFCRA, OSHA required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals.
  • Manage the full employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit processes.
  • Conduct orientation programs for new hires and facilitate ongoing training initiatives.
  • Address employee relations matters, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment efforts.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including evaluations and goal setting.
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM certification a plus.

Salary Range
$90K- $110K yearly – Commensurate with Experience
