Sharon Angelino is a partner in the Buffalo, New York office of Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP, where she focuses her practice on complex insurance coverage, professional liability, and commercial litigation matters. With more than 30 years of experience advising insurers, underwriters, and corporate clients, she is regularly called upon to analyze and resolve high-exposure and technically complex coverage disputes.
Ms. Angelino has extensive experience handling both first-party and third-party coverage issues across New York and throughout the Northeast. She has served as national coverage counsel for London insurers in connection with toxic tort claims and has significant experience working within the Lloyd’s of London market. Her practice includes advising underwriters and insurers on a wide range of coverage matters, including general liability, additional insured status, excess liability, bad faith, reinsurance, environmental and toxic tort claims, errors and omissions liability, and healthcare and disability policies. She also has substantial experience in directors’ and officers’ liability matters, handling both coverage and defense, as well as managing run-off accounts and the unique challenges associated with legacy exposures.
In addition to her coverage practice, Ms. Angelino advises corporate clients on risk management and insurance program development. She regularly reviews insurance programs to identify potential gaps in coverage and provides guidance on compliance with contractual insurance requirements. A New York State-certified insurance instructor, she frequently conducts training sessions and continuing education seminars on insurance-related topics, including documentation protocols and tender practices.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Ms. Angelino earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and an M.B.A. and worked in the healthcare industry. This multidisciplinary background provides her with a practical and analytical perspective when addressing complex coverage, regulatory, and risk management issues faced by her clients.
