Dave Bordoni joined PMT in 2024 after numerous years at one of the nation’s preeminent civil litigation firms, where he had been a partner since 2010. Dave has nearly 30 years of courtroom experience, having conducted over 50 bench and jury trials as lead counsel, and has secured multiple directed verdicts and defense verdicts on behalf of clients, several in high-exposure matters.
After earning his law degree from Boston University School Law, Dave spent four years as an Assistant District Attorney, where he honed his trial skills on a daily basis, securing multiple felony trial convictions for insurance fraud, narcotic/drug sales, arson, burglary, robbery, and weapons possession, as a Senior ADA in the Violent Felony Unit.
In 2000, Dave transitioned from criminal to civil practice, defending a wide range of complex,
high-exposure, and often high profile, matters in New York City venues and throughout the State of New York. In fact, less than two (2) months after leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Dave was assigned his first civil trial and secured a directed verdict in New York County Supreme Court on behalf of a Manhattan based construction company named as the lead defendant in a Labor Law § 240 action that eventually settled.
Dave’s practice areas are diverse and include commercial construction and labor law, complex construction defect/property damage, commercial transportation, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, toxic tort, municipal, wrongful death, and abuse and neglect claims.
In over 23 years of civil practice, Dave has obtained numerous favorable results for clients at trial, through directed verdicts, defense verdicts, and favorable pre-verdict settlements.
Drawing upon his training and experience as a criminal prosecutor, Dave is a responsive, dedicated, and loyal, advocate who always strives to achieve the best possible outcome for clients, while at the same time demonstrating the utmost respect for the Court, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
