Kevin uses his well-rounded knowledge of employment law and insurance coverage in defending employers in all manner of cases, including those alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, discharge, and demotion. Based on his prior EPLI claims experience, Kevin has a keen sense of how EPLI carriers analyze and value cases. Kevin also defends administrative proceedings at the federal, state, and municipal levels and represents employers in wage and hour audits and litigation.
In addition to his extensive experience in the employment practices area, Kevin handles the defense of professionals in malpractice matters involving lawyers, real estate and insurance professionals. He believes working side-by-side with clients on professional liability cases is key to developing the most cost-effective defense strategies.
Kevin also litigates other types of insurance defense matters, commercial cases and insurance coverage disputes. He has been a member of the following professional organizations: American Bar Association; Brooklyn Bar Association; Catholic Lawyers Guild (Kings County); New York City Bar Association; New York County Lawyers Association, and; New York State Bar Association. He has previously been a judge for the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition, held annually at New York Law School.
Kevin was admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of New York in August of 2011. He is also admitted to practice law in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is a 2010 graduate of New York Law School.
During law school, Kevin was a member of NYLS’ Urban Law Clinic. There, he assisted pro se litigants and participated in mediations of employment discrimination cases venued in the Southern District of New York. In the summer of 2009, Kevin interned for a noted Plaintiff’s side employment law firm in Manhattan. Prior to that, Kevin interned for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in its New York District Office.
Kevin graduated, magna cum laude, from Siena College in 2002 and graduated from Xaverian High School in 1998. He, his wife Kristen, and their puppy Zoey reside in Belford, New Jersey.
