Arber Cobaj is an associate attorney in the New York office of Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP, where he focuses his practice on the defense of complex civil litigation matters on behalf of property owners, developers, contractors, and commercial entities. He brings substantial experience managing all phases of litigation in New York Supreme Court, with particular concentration on Labor Law, construction defect, premises liability, and contract disputes.

Mr. Cobaj has served as lead attorney on a high-volume caseload, directing matters from inception through trial preparation. His practice includes developing litigation strategy, conducting and defending depositions, advancing written discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and coordinating with engineering, safety, and liability experts to challenge complex causation theories. He regularly negotiates and mediates settlements and provides detailed reporting directly to clients and insurance carriers.

Prior to joining PMT, Mr. Cobaj practiced with prominent defense firms in New York, where he represented clients in a broad range of matters including general liability, insurance coverage, automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, no-fault claims, and personal injury litigation. He has appeared extensively before New York courts on contested motions, discovery disputes, arbitrations, and examinations under oath, and has taken on mentoring and leadership responsibilities within litigation teams.

Mr. Cobaj’s experience is grounded in a strong foundation in corporate, environmental, and real estate law. During law school, he served as President of the Environmental Law Society and gained valuable public-interest experience as a legal intern with a nonprofit organization providing social services to victims of abuse and violent crime in New York City. He also served as a legal extern with the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project’s Consumer Law Division. Mr. Cobaj earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School as a full-scholarship recipient and is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
