Deborah is an accomplished litigator with over 30 years of experience. She began her legal career at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office investigating and prosecuting felony cases. Since then, Deborah has devoted her practice to the representation of insurance carriers, their insureds, and major self-insured corporations in the New York State and Federal Courts. Her primary areas of practice include construction, labor law, wrongful death and property damage litigation representing owners, general contractors, construction managers as well as crane, rigging and hoisting contractors. Deborah has litigated various types of civil matters including premises and general liability, automobile and transportation as well as medical malpractice, nursing home and long-term care matters. She is an experienced trial lawyer and appellate practitioner. She has successfully argued numerous appeals in the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department of the State of New York, and perfected dozens of appeals during her career.
As a skillful negotiator, Deborah has effectively resolved countless cases by assessing liability and damages early in the litigation. While she approaches each case as though trial may be inevitable, she is particularly focused on obtaining the most efficient results for our clients through risk transfer, motion practice and mediation. Deborah defends our clients with great attention to detail, consistent communication and hard work, making every effort to achieve the best results possible.
