Avery represents clients in complex civil litigation matters, including construction defect and premises liability claims. His practice focuses on guiding cases through all phases of litigation, including fact development, discovery, motion practice, and resolution. Avery has extensive courtroom experience and has handled more than 450 matters involving real property disputes, contract enforcement, and other civil litigation issues. Through frequent appearances before trial courts, he has developed strong advocacy skills and the ability to manage matters efficiently from initial filings through resolution.
Avery earned both his Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Negotiation & Dispute Resolution from Washington University School of Law, where he received the Richard Sher Award for Excellence in Mediation & Dispute Resolution. His advanced training in negotiation and conflict resolution informs his strategic approach to litigation and strengthens his ability to achieve efficient, client-focused outcomes both in and out of the courtroom. Avery is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, including the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and is also admitted in Tennessee.
Outside the office, Avery is a musician, sketch artist, and avid runner, bringing creativity and energy to both his professional and personal pursuits.
