Jeff Imeri is a partner in the Garden City, New York office of Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP. With more than three decades of experience representing insurers, underwriters, and their insureds, Mr. Imeri focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage, professional liability, general liability, reinsurance, and commercial litigation matters. Throughout his career, he has successfully defended hundreds of claims and lawsuits involving high-exposure coverage disputes, bad faith allegations, professional liability claims, and complex commercial matters.

Mr. Imeri has extensive experience advising domestic and international insurers on a broad range of coverage issues, including commercial general liability, excess liability, professional liability, healthcare liability, commercial property, and financial institution claims. He has represented Lloyd’s of London and London Market insurers in complex coverage litigation and reinsurance arbitrations involving both facultative and treaty reinsurance. His practice also includes the defense of insureds in professional liability, construction defect, civil rights, legal malpractice, and general liability matters.

Prior to joining PMT, Mr. Imeri served as Managing Attorney of the New York City office of a national litigation firm, where he oversaw attorneys and support staff while maintaining an active litigation practice. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Trial Attorney in the Claims Litigation Management Department of American International Group (AIG), managing nationwide bad faith litigation and other high-profile claims involving commercial property, professional liability, healthcare, and excess liability policies. He also developed and conducted bad faith training programs for claims professionals throughout the country.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Imeri was a licensed New York City public school teacher. His unique professional background, combined with decades of litigation and insurance industry experience, provides him with a practical and client-focused approach to resolving complex legal disputes. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New York Law School and also holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Queens College.
