Since 1985, Steve has devoted his practice to the representation of insurance carriers and their insureds, and of major self-insured corporations in the New York and New Jersey state and federal courts. His primary areas of practice are construction accident personal injury, wrongful death and property damage litigation representing crane and rigging contractors, owners, general contractors, construction managers and subcontractors of various trades; construction defect litigation; insurance coverage litigation and opinions; and general defense. He has argued appeals before the New York Court of Appeals and three of New York’s four Appellate Divisions, the New Jersey Appellate Division, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and has filed papers with the United States Supreme Court.

Steve’s general defense practice ranges over a wide spectrum of subject matters, including insurance agent and broker errors and omissions, funeral director errors and omissions, employment discrimination, wrongful termination and whistleblower cases, defamation and business torts, false arrest and malicious prosecution, premises liability, negligent security, liquor liability, product liability, asbestos, vehicular and aviation accidents, real estate title and restrictive covenant litigation, and, on the appellate level, medical and dental malpractice.
