Jesus Oliveros is an associate at Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP who focuses on New York Labor Law and general liability litigation. His experience includes work on both the plaintiff and defense sides of civil litigation, allowing him to approach matters from differing perspectives.

Mr. Oliveros began his legal career in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for four years as a Legal Services Specialist and attained the rank of Sergeant. His assignments included supporting military judge advocates and serving as the sole legal clerk for a deployed Marine Expeditionary Unit. The discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence instilled during his military service continue to shape his approach to his work.

Following his military service and before attending law school, Mr. Oliveros worked in a variety of legal roles, including at New York City plaintiff-side personal injury firms. His experience included a significant focus on workers’ compensation matters involving construction accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury claims.

During law school, Mr. Oliveros further developed his legal research, writing, and analytical skills through academic, judicial, and private-practice experience. He served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Nelson S. Román of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, where he conducted extensive legal research and drafted multiple proposed opinions addressing dispositive motions. He also served as a research assistant on a scholarly article examining judge shopping and gained defense-side experience as a law clerk at a national civil defense firm.

Mr. Oliveros earned his Bachelor of Arts in Global Professional Studies from Pace University and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. While in law school, he participated in the Federal Judicial Honors Program and served as a Submissions Editor for the Pace International Law Review.
