Carolyn Ann Papp-Campbell is a partner at Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP with more than 25 years of experience defending complex civil litigation matters on behalf of insurers and corporate clients. Her practice focuses on high-exposure insurance defense, including labor law, general commercial liability, toxic torts, product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and motor vehicle accidents. Ms. Papp-Campbell has extensive experience managing cases from inception through trial and has successfully handled numerous matters to jury verdict. Ms. Papp-Campbell is an experienced appellate advocate, having drafted briefs and successfully argued appeals before the New York State Appellate Court, First and Second Departments.
Ms. Papp-Campbell is a versatile litigator with significant experience in moderately complex to complex matters, including case evaluation, liability and damages assessment, indemnification and risk transfer analysis, and strategic planning. She works closely with claims professionals and experts to develop effective, cost-conscious defense strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
Prior to joining PMT, Ms. Papp-Campbell served as in-house senior associate counsel for a major national insurance carrier, where she handled a wide range of insurance defense matters. She has also held senior roles at several well-regarded New York defense firms and maintained a solo practice, providing her with a diverse and comprehensive perspective on litigation strategy and client service across a variety of practice settings.
Ms. Papp-Campbell earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she served as a Research Editor for the Hofstra Environmental Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Stony Brook and is admitted to practice in New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Outside of work, Ms. Papp-Campbell enjoys travelling, and boating on the Hudson River. She sits on the Board and is a past Commodore of the Croton Yacht Club, and past Secretary of the Hudson River Boat and Yacht Club Association, both non-profit organizations.
