Lisa M. Pollard earned her B.S. in Economics from Cornell University and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham, she served as Managing Editor of the Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, published multiple articles, competed in Moot Court (Quarterfinalist, Maurice I. Wormser Moot Court Competition), and participated in the Fordham Student Sponsored Fellowship supporting public-interest legal work.

Lisa is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Prior to joining PMT, Lisa developed a broad litigation and regulatory background. During law school and early in her career, she worked at the New York State Attorney General’s Office, prosecuting environmental crimes and fraud matters and co-developing an environmental law database still in use today. She later practiced at a leading New York City intellectual property boutique, litigating trademark, copyright, and patent matters for Fortune 100 and 500 companies and private clients in the pharmaceutical, luxury goods, media, and publishing industries. Her experience included injunctive relief, federal discovery, expert preparation, and depositions in complex, high-stakes litigation.

As a fifth-year associate, Lisa second-chaired a federal copyright damages trial in Massachusetts, where her advocacy and preparation helped limit claimed damages from millions of dollars to five figures.

More recently, Lisa worked in the risk management department of a major New York City civil infrastructure construction firm, handling contract negotiation, insurance compliance, risk assessment, regulatory matters, and construction-related litigation support.

Lisa works out of the firm’s Nassau County office and concentrates her practice in Premises Liability, Labor Law, Construction Law and Motor Vehicle Accidents.

Outside of the firm, Lisa devotes much of her time to raising her son, a role she values deeply. Lisa is a certified yoga teacher and mindfulness teacher. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, speaks French, has lived in Paris, and is an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast.
