Fariha M. Reza is an associate in the New York City office of Pillinger Miller Tarallo LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, construction-related disputes, and business litigation matters. Drawing upon both legal and business training, Ms. Reza represents businesses and professionals in high-stakes disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, partnership conflicts, and other commercial matters.
Prior to joining PMT, Ms. Reza practiced with prominent Texas litigation firms where she represented construction, energy, and real estate clients in complex commercial disputes. She managed matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, witness preparation, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals. Her experience includes drafting dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial testimony, as well as assisting in the development of trial strategy in significant commercial cases. She also contributed to litigation efforts that resulted in the successful settlement of a $100 million claim for a major energy-sector client, and assisted with trial preparation in fraud, fiduciary duty, and corporate governance disputes.
In addition to her litigation background, Ms. Reza has gained valuable experience advising businesses on governance, compliance, and strategic risk management. During her MBA studies, she worked with the leadership of an international law firm on governance and growth initiatives related to ownership structure, operational improvements, and organizational strategy.
Ms. Reza earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and her Master’s in Business Administration from London Business School. During her MBA she completed a semester at IESE Business School in Spain, a leading international institute recognized for its guidance on responsible business. She holds a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin. Fariha’s combined legal and business background, along with her professional experience abroad, have given her a deep understanding of jurisprudence as it relates to a broader commercial context.
Fariha is admitted to practice in New York, Texas, and England & Wales. She is Bangladeshi-American and is fluent in English and Bengali.
