Legal E-Billing Coordinator in Elmsford, NY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal E-Billing Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our electronic billing processes for insurance carriers. You will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to prepare and submit electronic invoices in accordance with client-specific formats and deadlines. Responsibilities:

  • Process and review time entries and expenses for accuracy and completeness before submission for e-billing.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of various e-billing formats and client-specific requirements.
  • Utilize e-billing software to prepare and submit invoices electronically through client portals.
  • Track and monitor the e-billing process, ensuring timely submission and addressing any errors or rejections.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance industry billing standards and regulations.
  • Generate reports and analyze billing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic billing records in accordance with firm policies.
  • May assist with accounts receivable tasks such as following up on outstanding invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal e-billing or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with legal billing software and e-billing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of legal billing principles and terminology.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skill’s
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an insurance defense law firm environment.
  • Knowledge of specific e-billing platforms (e.g., Prolaw, LexisNexis Juris, Aderant, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Full time (with hybrid schedule available at this time)

Salary Range
$55K- $75K yearly – Commensurate with Experience

Schedule

  • 8 Hour Shift
  • Monday – Friday
